Connell Foley LLP is proud to announce that the firm was named a winner of a 2018 "Best Practices Award" by the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and COMMERCE Magazine

CIANJ's 5th Annual Best Practices Conference, held September 20, 2018, recognized innovation in the workplace. Winning companies were selected based on submissions describing how those companies empower employees to become sales leaders, innovators, rainmakers, brand ambassadors and effective team players. Those submissions were compiled into COMMERCE Magazine's 2018 Best Practices Guide.

More than 150 executives participated in the conference, which featured speeches from Nikki Sumpter, Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Atlantic Health; Teresa Oakley, Vice President Human Resources, North America at LG Electronics; and Deepak Vakhil, Founder, Yeti Leather Products.

Best Practices Awards were given to company and business leaders selected by a blue-ribbon panel of judges assembled by CIANJ. The association represents more 900 corporate members and works to advance free market principles.

Judges included: Dennis Bone, director of the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship at Montclair State University, Lori Matheus, senior vice president at New Jersey Economic Development Authority, Dean Paranicas, president and CEO of the Healthcare Institute of New Jersey, Anthony Russo, president of CIANJ, Siamack Shojai, dean of the Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University, and Rob Stramara, chief operating officer at the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program, Inc.
