Karen Painter Randall, Chair of Connell Foley's Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Group, has been selected by NJBIZ as a winner of the inaugural NJ Digi-Tech Innovators Awards. This awards program is intended to showcase "individuals who introduced significant innovations in the technology and digital space that contributed significantly to the productivity and performance of their organizations." Of note, Karen is the only attorney among the 34 honorees selected for this award.

Karen takes a uniquely innovative approach to her Cybersecurity practice, and as such has earned leadership roles in several important national and state organizations. Of note, Karen is founder and Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s (NJSBA) Cybersecurity Legal Task Force. This Task Force is one of the first of its kind in the country and has become a model for other states as they look to protect their respective bar associations and provide their lawyer members education and resources to manage cyber threats. Additionally, in 2018, Karen branched out into academia and created the University of South Carolina School of Law's Cybersecurity Legal Task Force, one of the first Cybersecurity Legal Task Forces for a law school in the southeast.

Karen and the other Digi-Tech Innovators Award Honorees will be recognized at an awards program on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 8:00 am - 10:30 am at The DoubleTree by Hilton Somerset in Somerset, NJ.
