Phil McGovern to Receive Distinguished Graduate Award from Seton Hall University School of Law

Connell Foley is proud to announce that Managing Partner Philip F. McGovern Jr. has been named a recipient of the 2022 Distinguished Graduate Award from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Presented annually at the Seton Hall Law Alumni Gala, the Distinguished Graduate Award is bestowed upon an alumnus/a who has made significant contributions to the legal community. As Managing Partner of Connell Foley and a member of the firm's Executive Committee, Phil (J.D. '84) has been instrumental in growing the firm throughout the New Jersey/New York region. He devotes a substantial amount of time to numerous legal, business and educational endeavors, serving, among other roles, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, as well as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Peter’s Preparatory High School in Jersey City.

Phil will be honored on May 6, 2022 at the Annual Alumni Gala at the Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Additional honorees include Wendy Johnson Lario '92, Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig (Distinguished Graduate Award), and Robert Johnson '07, Director & Chief Diversity Officer at Gibbons P.C. (Exemplary Service Award).
