The Board of Directors and members of HEART 9/11, an organization dedicated to aiding communities affected by natural and man-made disasters, honored Connell Foley LLP for its support of the organization’s mission by presenting a special plaque to firm Managing Partner Tim Corriston and Real Estate Group Co-Chair Nevins McCann.
Comprising a group of first responders from the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, and the NYC Building Trades, HEART 9/11 provides crucial stress management and resiliency training to first responders.
The group also renovates the homes of fellow veterans, first responders and building trades members when those homes are damaged or destroyed by natural disasters, and retrofits and remodels homes to make them accessible to people with disabilities. A recent project involved the modification of a bathroom in the home of a retired NYPD lieutenant whose wife has been diagnosed with ALS.
Projects like these are made possible by fundraising events such as HEART 9/11’s Annual Golf Classic, which Connell Foley proudly sponsored in 2023 and looks forward to sponsoring again this year.
