Hudson to Speak at Middlesex County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Meeting

ROSELAND, N.J./August 26, 2008 -- Jodi Anne Hudson, Of Counsel to Connell Foley LLP, Roseland, New Jersey, will speak at an upcoming meeting of the Middlesex County Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Group. Ms. Hudson’s presentation, “First Year Crash Course,” will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Doll’s Place in New Brunswick.

This meeting, like the others in this “after work” series of get-togethers called “After Hours @ the Bar,” combines networking and the sharing of best practices. Ms. Hudson’s presentation will cover:

  • What to Expect as a Young Associate
  • Handling Your First Deposition
  • Rainmaking Basics
  • Why Your Local Bar Association is Important to Your Career

This “After Hours @ the Bar” meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception. It will be followed by presentations at 6:00 p.m. The cocktail reception will resume at 6:30 and run until 7:00.  Doll’s Place is located at 101 Paterson Street in New Brunswick. Ms. Hudson is a member of Connell Foley’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance Defense practice groups. Since joining the firm in 2000, she has tried more than 30 cases focusing largely on civil litigation and insurance coverage and defense. Ms. Hudson served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office from 1997 until 2000. In March 2008, she was certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial lawyer. Ms. Hudson also serves as Director of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board at Seton Hall School of Law, a position she has held since 2000. She also serves as President of Seton Hall Law’s School’s Alumni Council.
