Michael A. Shadiack, a partner in the Employment Practice Group, on July 25, 2013, will be presenting on behalf of the National Business Institute (NBI) during a national webcast entitled, “Employee Documentation, Discipline & Discharge.” This webcast is to inform employers and human resource personnel of the best practices for handling employee documentation from recruitment to discharge. Mr. Shadiack will be speaking on two topics: “Limiting the Risk from Lawsuits and Government Investigations,” as well as, “Lay-Off Best Practices.” Through his presentations, Mr. Shadiack will educate attendees on how to respond to internal complaints, avoid retaliation claims, implement employment best practices, strategize for a reduction in force, draft effective severance/release agreements, and much more.
