Michael A. Shadiack, Featured Speaker at NJBIA "Workplace Harassment & Discrimination: Creating a Culture of Zero Tolerance," May 10, 2013

ROSELAND, N.J./May 10, 2013 -- Connell Foley partner Michael A. Shadiack will be a  featured presenter at the New Jersey Business & Industry Association’s (NJBIA) “Workplace Harassment & Discrimination: Creating a Culture of Zero Tolerance” seminar  on May 10, 2013 in West Orange, New Jersey. 

Shadiack will provide human resource professionals and management representatives in attendance with advice on designing a workplace harassment prevention training program and what employers should consider. His presentation will focus on which employers are required to provide such training, and which employees must attend; What the importance of training, and the benefits training provides to employers; Where should the training be conducted, how many session, and should supervisory and non-supervisory employees attend; How often employers should conduct these training sessions; and How to design, structure, and implement an effective training program. 

Shadiack is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Law practice group, who practices exclusively in the areas of labor and employment law on behalf of management in the private and public sectors. He represents international and regional private corporations, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education. He provides employers with pro-active and preventative counseling on personnel, benefit, and wage and hour issues to ensure compliance with statutory and common law requirements, as well as prepares comprehensive and practical employment agreements and employee handbooks tailored to each employer’s specific needs.
