Murphy, Tantalla Moderate at Green Buildings Summit 2010

ROSELAND, N.J./June 11, 2010 -- Connell Foley Senior Associates Joseph M. Murphy and Michele T. Tantalla recently moderated at the 2nd Annual Green Buildings Summit 2010 on June 2, 2010, held at the Trenton Marriott at Lafayette Yard, Trenton, NJ. The event was sponsored by the Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal (MAREJ) in conjunction with United States Green Building Council-New Jersey (USGBC-NJ). Murphy’s panel, “New Jersey’s Financial Support For Improving Building Energy Performance on the Local Level,” discussed various programs providing financial incentives for green building projects, including the Board of Public Utilities’ NJ SmartStart Buildings Program funded under the NJ Clean Energy Program and the Pay-for-Performance (P4P) program providing funding and incentives for energy retrofitting. Tantalla moderated the “Government Legislation for Eco-Friendly Building Construction” panel that examined the Department of Environmental Protection’s LSRP program and how the program will be affected under the new administration, as well as existing and proposed Building Codes and Government Legislation for Eco-Friendly Building Construction.
