ROSELAND, N.J./May 13, 2008 -- Karen P. Randall, a partner with Connell Foley LLP, was recently appointed Chair of the Insurance Benefits Standing Committee for the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) for 2008-2009.

The NJSBA’s Insurance Benefits Standing Committee explores various insurance products for Bar members including life, long-term, medical, dental and professional liability. The Committee strives to improve products as they are developed and offers new coverage as it becomes available, not only to benefit members of the Bar, but also to attract new members. The Committee also monitors the performance of the Association-appointed insurance administrator.

Ms. Randall, a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, serves as Chair of Connell Foley’s Class Action Defense practice group. In addition, she is Co-Chair of the Professional Liability practice group. She has held several leadership positions with the American Bar Association (ABA) and NJSBA. Ms. Randall is also Chair of USLAW Network’s Professional Liability Practice Group Leadership Committee.

Ms. Randall has been a frequent presenter at conferences on professional liability litigation and risk management issues. In August, 2005, the New Jersey Law Journal listed Ms. Randall as a prominent leader among women and minority attorneys in the State of New Jersey.

The New Jersey State Bar Association was incorporated in 1899 and is dedicated to the continuing education of lawyers and the public, reforming and improving the legal system, and aiding in the administration of justice.
