Real Estate Group partners Elnardo Webster and Jodi Luciani late last month secured the Jersey City Planning Board’s unanimous approval for the first and largest phase of a plan for a development slated to transform Jersey City’s skyline and revitalize one of the last stretches of vacant land along Jersey City’s portion of the Hudson River.

The board approved development of the first of three mixed-use towers that will stand along the northern edge of Jersey City’s Downtown area. The development, which will include more than 1,100 residential units, will abut the Hudson Bergen Light Rail system and back up against the Hoboken border.

Known as 20 Long Slip, the approved 47-story first tower, which will stand along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, will include 530 residential units, more than half of which will be one-bedrooms. The tower will also include 180 two-bedroom, 49 three-bedroom, and four two-bedroom units.

The tower’s ground floor will include 2,364 square feet of retail space, and its sixth floor will feature amenities including a terrace, fitness center, game room, and co-working space.

During the same meeting, Webster and Luciani also won approval for the developer’s application to divide the existing property into three lots—one for each of the project’s three towers.
