New Jersey Business Today, a publication of NJBIA, published the article "Does Coronavirus Constitute a 'Force Majeure' for Construction Contracts," which features Connell Foley's blog post "Interpreting Force Majeure Provisions in Construction Contracts in Light of COVID-19 Disruptions" authored by Mitchell Taraschi and Lauren Iannaccone

The article and the blog post both discuss the supply chain disruptions that are preventing construction sites from being able to continue their work, as well as labor issues resulting from COVID-19. Courts will have to decide what constitutes force majeure in terms of what work is considered essential and how it impacts the performance of a contract.
