Michael Shadiack, chair of Connell Foley's Labor and Employment Group, is featured in the New Jersey Business Magazine article "3 Questions Employers Ask About Paid Sick Leave." Mike was asked by the magazine to give insight to the top three questions most employers ask about the law. Mike explains that the most frequent questions he receives are: "Can we continue to use each employee's date of hire when determining the 12 month benefit year?" "Can an employer establish blackout days when paid sick leave cannot be used?" and "Can an employer maintain a different paid sick leave policy for full-time employees as compared to part-time, temporary and seasonal employees?"

In addition to the article, Mike will present on February 15, 2019 at NJBIA's "Hard Decisions, Hot Topics, Your Legal Questions" seminar, where he will provide attendees with information about the new New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Law.
