Michael Shadiack Quoted in Article on What to Know about Wage & Hour Laws

Michael Shadiack, Chair of Connell Foley's Labor and Employment Law Group, recently presented the NJBIA webinar "Workforce Management During the Pandemic: Wage & Hour and Severance Considerations." To recap the program and the information shared during Mike's presentation, New Jersey Business Magazine published the article "What to Know about Wage and Hour Laws, Severance during COVID-19." 

As the article notes, the webinar provided an overview of the federal and state wage and hour laws that must be followed by employers in regard to layoffs and reductions in hours or pay. Also discussed were how severance packages offered to departing employees now can help avoid litigation.
