Karen Painter Randall, co-chair of Connell Foley’s Cyber Security and Data Privacy Group, recently authored two separate articles for the LPL eAdvisory, an e-newsletter of the ABA’s Standing Committee on Lawyers' Professional Liability.
In “NAIC sets new cybersecurity principles,” published in the July LPLeAdvisory, Ms. Randall discusses the National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ recently released principles for effective cybersecurity. The principles are intended to clarify and adopt existing best practices, while also explaining regulatory obligations, in an effort to promote better cybersecurity.
