Anthony LoPresti (“AJ”) is a commercial litigator who drafts pleadings, motions, and memoranda on complex commercial litigation and environmental matters. He also conducts legal research and manages multiple facets of discovery, including interrogatories and document productions.

In addition, clients rely on AJ for federal and state compliance advice. He counsels nonprofits on entity formation and federal and state tax exemption. He also advises corporations, PACs, political committees and politically active individuals on election laws, conflict of interest laws and compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations.

Prior to joining Connell Foley, AJ clerked for the Hon. Bonnie J. Mizdol, A.J.S.C. in Bergen County. He also interned in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, and for the Hon. James J. DeLuca and the Hon. Robert L. Polifroni.

During law school, AJ served as an editor for the Seton Hall Legislative Journal, where his Comment, “Blurring the Lines: How Consolidating School Districts Can Combat New Jersey’s Public School Segregation Problem,” was published. He also served as a Senator with the Student Bar Association. His law school pro bono work included acting as a Student Attorney for the Equal Justice Clinic at Seton Hall’s Center for Social Justice. AJ also joined the Karnes Pro Bono Project with RAICES, where he represented asylum seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Outside the office, AJ enjoys playing golf and basketball. He is an avid reader, of mostly historical non-fiction, and a big Jets, Yankees and Knicks fan.
