Overview

Raquel Doering is an associate in the Commercial Litigation and Product Liability and Tort Law groups, defending general liability, catastrophic loss, and wrongful death claims. She acts as co-counsel in all aspects of litigation, from discovery, depositions and motion practice through trial.

Before joining the firm, Raquel served as an assistant prosecutor in the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City in the Pretrial, Trial, and Gangs and Narcotics Units. There she argued a variety of motions and conducted several proceedings, including testimonial and plea hearings, sentencings, and grand jury presentations.

Prior to serving as an assistant prosecutor, Raquel worked as a judicial law clerk with the Honorable Christine M. Vanek, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court, mediating matters between counseled and self-represented litigants. She also completed a judicial externship under the Honorable Joseph A. Turula, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior Court. During her undergraduate studies, Raquel interned at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in the Victim Witness Advocacy Unit.

Raquel received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she earned the Distinguished Scholarship Award, served as editor-in-chief of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal, and interned at SHU Law's Family Law Clinic.
