Connell Foley LLP is pleased to announce that Richard P. DeAngelis Jr. has joined the firm as a Partner in the Real Estate and Land Use Group, and Steven D. Weinstein has joined as Of Counsel in the Commercial Litigation Group.

"We are thrilled to welcome Rich and Steve to the firm," said Connell Foley Managing Partner Philip F. McGovern Jr. "Rich's experience in property tax appeals is the perfect complement to our well-established Real Estate and Land Use Group, and Steve's government relations and litigation background will prove extremely beneficial to many of our clients. They will be invaluable assets to the firm and our clients."

An authority in the areas of eminent domain law, redevelopment and property tax appeals, Rich DeAngelis is a highly regarded real estate practitioner with a long history of successfully prosecuting commercial tax appeals in New Jersey. In addition, he is a staunch ally for clients facing the prospect of losing their property through the use of eminent domain. Previously Rich was with McKirdy, Riskin, Olson & DellaPelle, P.C., where he was a member of the Condemnation Law, Property Tax Appeal and Redevelopment practice areas. He will be based in Connell Foley's Jersey City office.

Prior to joining Connell Foley, Steve Weinstein was General Counsel and Executive Vice President for Government Relations for Rowan University, which he helped transform into one of the fastest growing public research universities in the country. Drawing upon his extensive government relations experience, Steve regularly advocates with a wide range of state- and federal-level government agencies. He also has three decades of private practice experience as a litigator and advisor to private and public clients involved in local and state government law, real estate redevelopment, and municipal finance law. Steve will practice in the firm's Cherry Hill office.
