ROSELAND, N.J./August 21, 2006 -- Connell Foley LLP placed second in New Jersey Law Journal's annual listing of the "Top 20 Personal Injury Awards of the Year." The recognition stems from a verdict of $20.5 million entered in favor of client Kimberly Valentini and against the Ford Motor Company.

The suit was filed on behalf of Ms. Valentini, a New Jersey woman who suffered brain injuries in a Bronco II rollover in 1995. Partners Jeffrey Moryan and  John Lacey successfully argued that the vehicle was defective in its design and that Ford failed to warn that it was prone to rollover.

Ms. Valentini was awarded $1.5 million for past medical expenses, $13 million for future medical costs, $5 million for pain and suffering, and $1 million for past and future lost income.
